Madcap Mayhem

Just a heads up, this week will be pretty weak as far as posts go. I’ve got three class sessions left of summer school, and a four page paper, presentation and final all due on Monday(:::groan:::).

With that being said, I love the spread of information and want to share the following with you:

MissPuppyLove was rethinking her color/pattern scheme and asked for ideas and I had suggested she check out Colour Lovers as it’s a site dedicated to creating palettes and patterns that you can use for your website, twitter background, etc.  Users create the palettes and share.  Guess where I found that? Library school! Yep, it’s not all about how to shelve a book just right 😉

Miss Smitty (MissPuppyLove’s personal blog) also mentioned  wanting to start a running regiment and was looking for tips so I suggested she check out Women’s Health Magazine’s 101 Greatest Running Tips

One of my favs is

#19. Take what you can get

“So-called ‘junk miles’–those slow miles done on easy days or during warmups–do count. They burn calories as effectively as fast miles; it just takes longer. Regardless of pace, each mile you run burns about 100 calories.” –Hal Higdon, runner/writer/coach

Because at the end of the day, the fact you made a conscious choice to workout rather than sit it out, should be commended.  Regardless whether it was 1 mile or 10, every effort counts!

Look at how helpful the weddingbee community can be? It’s spurs me to share all the random links I know  😛

Don’t you just love WH?! I use to read my dad’s Men’s Health in high school and was ecstatic when they came out with a Women’s version. That and Self, are my favorite reads
