My fiance makes me laugh. We went to Harris Teeter (local grocery store) after I picked him up from the metro. I got a roasted chicken for dinner and took advantage of some great deals like buy 1 get 2 strawberry crates for free. Using our discount card, we saved $10. Andy (FI) was like,”Wow! That’s amazing!” His excitement made the cashier chuckle. As if you couldn’t guess, he doesn’t do much grocery shopping…okay fine, he doesn’t do any grocery shopping. Which is cool, I don’t mind as we split the chores according to our strengths. For instance, I do the shopping, cooking and bathroom cleaning, and he pays the mortgage, vacuums, and cleans the kitty litter. It’s only fair, as he makes a heckuva lot more than I do. It works for us.
In other news, remember that wreath I wanted to make? At first glance, I didn’t realize the tutorial was for a little baby wreath (whoops). I really wanted a full-sized fall wreath for my front door so I went to A.C. Moore (craft store like Michaels) armed with my 40% off coupon and purchased an oversized maple leaf paper punch and a booklet of double-sided scrapbook paper that was 50% off (woot!). Once I got home, I punched the heck out of some paper at my dining room table. Andy, upon seeing what I was doing, said, “Wow. That’s kind of cool,” which totally caught me off guard. I never know what will fascinate him. Whenever I try to show or tell about something I think is cool, he usually gives me a blank stare. Oh, hunny 😛
ANYWAY, point is, I finished the wreath! Take a look:
Do you like it? Hate it? Think I’m crazy because I’m ready for fall and it’s not even September yet?
