Cheesing for the Camera

:::Insert theme music to “Love Boat” here::::

If you recall, I was enamored with my wedding photographer Natalie Franke, and I hadn’t even met her yet.  One assumes someone that produces such beautiful work has to be a wonderful person right? OF COURSE!

Natalie is beyond terrific! Not only is a great photog, she’s a lovely person as well! She LOVES what she does and clearly it shows. Her passion and genuine excitement for photography, especially for weddings is so catching! She was great to work with and seeing her shots from recent weddings makes my heart flutter with bubbly anticipation for next May 🙂

We started our engagement shoot day by waking up at 3:30am to get ready for a sunrise shoot 😛 Yes, we took pics at 6 o’clock in the morning (we’re crazy, we know).

Although I went to bed super excited, I woke up with my right eye almost swollen shut. I was LIVID! I must have slept with a cat hair in it or something (darn you Tyrone!) and I frantically ran into the kitchen to put a cold compress on it.

After I finally brought down some of the swelling, we hopped into the car and I put the petal to the metal and coasted down the highway, trying to beat the sunlight peaking over the horizon.

Natalie had us do an early morning shoot because it was the week before the Naval Academy graduation which meant there would be tons of people flooding Annapolis in the afternoon, which is no good for taking pictures and trying not to be self conscious.

However, Ale and I being who we are, were total awkward turtles (especially me who ended up with my mouth open laughing 75% of the time) but it still led to super cute pictures that I absolutely adore and cannot thank Natalie enough for providing us with 🙂

Without further ado, THE PICTURES:

I couldn’t tell you what was so funny, but trust me, I have tons of pics that essentially look like this 😛

The “parent” pictures

More giggling

I’m laughing…again

My absolute favorite

Oh hey, an awesome shot of the e-ring.

So there ya go. Hope you like them as much as I do 😀

    Orange and Blue.
    That makes my heart flutter.
But also, these photos are gorgeous. Although I only met you and Ale for a few hours, these photos show off so much of your personality. You’re fun, bubbly, a bit awkward turtle and totally adorable. Perfect!

Gorgeous! You guys are adorable and I love that you are laughing in your pics! I was the same. They’d ask for a serious face and I couldn’t for the life of me look at him in a serious way. Totally normal for e-pics!

    p.s. I ❤ boat shoes.

I seriously love these pictures. I wish we’d done e-pics. We traded the service in for extra hours the day of the wedding – BIG mistake.
